Challenge

The client Operation Triple Threat (O.T.T.) was in a grant application process to secure a new round of funding from a major gift donor. An ongoing challenge in the organisation's work was communicating the value the social impact and value of its programmes to the local and regional arts ecosystem.

  • Other Functions: Graphic design, UX Writing, Research

Results

  • To date, the client's grant proposal has passed the approval stage.

  • Client felt empowered to communicate organisation's impacting a simple way.

  • Created a central document that compiled quantitative and qualitative data to into one easy to use analysis

Making "Breaking Down the Numbers: Where will the next generation of Caribbean Artists & Performers Train?"

Qualitative, quantitative research and first hand accounts from practitioners and educators paint a picture of the local arts ecosystem as talent heavy and uniquely fragile to external threats. I visualised the data about the fight for access to arts education in Barbados & the Caribbean as a child blowing bubbles. The bright colours and whimsical tone maintain a sense of hope - a dream of what the future could be - if these challenges were solved. Rather than including a title on the data visualisation, we gave the image room to breathe. The organisation was free to change the headline according to their target audience.
